I've been there...
my road to complete freedom would be a long journey. I needed some deep emotional healing, love, and acceptance of myself.
Through my story, I hope that I can help someone shorten the distance of their journey or help someone understand the process in the journey to freedom. You can know the freedom I now know without finding yourself shipwrecked and fighting for your life.
If you are in the midst of a dark storm, maybe I can help you find your way back to safety and freedom. If you struggle with addiction, low self-worth, and depression, I hope to be able to pull you from the darkness with the power of truth and build your faith with God encounters that have brought me out of the darkness and into His marvelous light.
I know what it is like to wake up and grab a spoon and a lighter to cook up your first shot of heroine for the day. I know what it's like to feel the level of drugs you need in your system to maintain life begin to leave your body and having to start the process all over again.
I have heard "the train" when injecting shots of cocaine into my system and have had my heart feel like it was going to explode only to do it all over again shortly after. I know what it is like to be up several days on methamphetamine and be so skitzed out I thought everyone was out to get me and "the man" was watching. Paranoia on levels you can't imagine unless you have been there.
I know what it's like to drop acid and take trips and never leave the farm. I know what it's like to have alcohol as the first drink of the day. I referred to it as breakfast of champions. I know what it's like to pop pills, and at times, not even real sure of what I was taking. Just wash it down with alcohol and hope they get you high. I know what it is like to smoke loads of pot daily like they were cigarettes.
I know what it's like to be so empty inside you increase the size of your shots hoping it might be your last.
I REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME I had no heroin to inject into my veins. I knew at the moment that my body started reacting the way that it did
something much bigger than I could imagine had its grip on me.
It’s been a journey. It’s been a process. It’s been worth it all.

"I think non believing addicts will see a really compelling reason to turn to God for help and sinner-saints will be encouraged to keep up the good fight!"

"As I was reading this book I began to notice that the relationship Tim has with the Lord is so different from my own. It has truly inspired me to put down the things of this world, shut the door behind me, and be with my Father."

"This book is Powerful! As soon as I started reading I realized that I needed my highlighter pen. Loved Tim's wife's an daughter's words at the beginning of the book. God Bless you and your family brother in Christ."

"Tim's life-changing testimony of God's love, grace, and mercy. You will find this book will minister to you no matter your struggles in life. When I got my book I could not put it down. I thank God for His saving grace."
"Tim's use of scripture throughout the book to back up what he's saying is really powerful."
It always amazes me when I witness the mighty transforming power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have seen people who were desperate and hopelessly bound by sin and addictions to be delivered and turned into a new creation in Christ, no longer a slave to the passions and lusts of this fallen world, only Jesus can do that. Tim Anderson is one of those trophies of God’s grace and deliverance, a true testimony of a life set free. I have known Tim for many years as his pastor and friend, I have always been blessed by his love for Jesus and his heart for the lost. It is because of his life and testimony that the captives will be set free and lives will be gloriously changed. I would encourage every person who is searching for true freedom from bondage and addictions to read this tremendous evidence of the power for God to save, heal and deliver. God is no respecter of persons, if He did it for Tim Anderson He will do it for anyone who will put their trust in the savior. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. I have watched the Lord heal him emotionally and physically, and it has made our marriage even better than it ever was. We have been married for almost 30 years, and I thank God for transforming my husband's mind and bringing us even closer through all the testing and trials. God will carry you through the times you can't handle in your own strength. He will be there and never forsake you. Whether it be a spouse, parent, sibling, child, or friend, when you love someone, don't give up on them; don't stop praying and believing because our God is awesome, and He will answer your prayers. Tim didn't give up, I didn't give up, and God won't give up on you. I pray this book gives you the hope and encouragement to persevere and overcome and remember "you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength" Philippians 4:13

I married my God given wife, Nikki, in 1991 and we are blessed with three amazing children: Kayla, Ashley, and Josiah. I have been in some form of ministry for 30 years, from worship leader, youth pastor, associate pastor, evangelistic outreach minister, teacher, house church leader, ordained minister, and now author. God has taught me much over the years and I look forward to allowing Him to use me to help others.
"Beautiful!"
"Tim communicates very clearly how God’s love, mercy, and faithfulness to us have nothing to do with our faithfulness and performance - they are new every morning- and yet, we have to choose to turn to God to receive that love and mercy and ultimately the power to overcome the pull of addiction. And we have to choose that over and over. Beautiful! "

"If you're looking for even just an ounce of hope, you'll find it in here."
"If you've stumbled upon this book, it's by no coincidence. This is your sign. If you're looking for even just an ounce of hope, you'll find it in here. Maybe you're a wife to a drug addicted husband. Maybe you're a son to an alcoholic father. Maybe you're a sister to a drug addicted brother. Or maybe it's you.. a lost soul, in the depths of despair, thinking the only way out is 6 feet under. My dad's story of how he overcame years of struggles and our family's stories of our 1st hand experience will bring you the hope you've been looking so long for."
- Kayla A. Tim's Daughter
"Tim reminds us that Jesus’ words are truth!"
"Tim’s story of transformation is one of the most anointed testimonies of the power of God’s word to bring healing and new life to those that are struggling with illness and addiction. His courage to share the raw details of his journey from emotional brokenness to supernatural healing is inspiring. Everyone needs to read this account of how God can take the life of an addict and restore them to a place of stability, peace, joy, and purpose. Your season of struggle does not have to be the whole of your life experience! Tim reminds us that Jesus’ words are truth!"

"He proves the power of God will get you through anything!"
This book is not only for addicts. I grew up going to church, yet I learned so much from his book. I love the way he incorporates scripture through his journey. He proves the power of God will get you through anything! I could not stop reading this book until I had finished it. I encourage Christians, addicts, non-believers, and people who are depressed or just going through difficult times to read this book.
